Child Care Philosophy
	Our Child Care strives to implement some aspects of Piaget's theory of Cognitive Development in a Child Development Program. We believe in Piaget's educational approach to children (they have the opportunity to explore and experience a variety of activities like classification and seriation, discernment of differentiation and similarity, sense of order, time and space, and to enjoy all those activities through play). In a Child Development Program learning is integrated into the daily routine, and playing is not separated from learning; playing is learning. * Children will be free to select materials and activities within an environment that encourages discovery and problem solving, through the joy of play. * Each child will be viewed as a unique individual and experiences will be planned to meet each child's needs. * The curriculum is based on developmentally appropriate activities. Children are encouraged to participate according to their needs, strengths, and age interests.
